Another benefit of NPMAS membership is the oportunity to attend Star Parties sponsored by the Club. Members have the opportunity to observe from dark sky sites giving beginning members the chance to learn the night sky with more experienced observers. The dark sky conditions give experienced observers the opportunity to further their own skills locating more difficult objects.
The Parmentier Observatory
One of the highlights of club membership is access to the Parmentier Observatory which is the largest permanently mounted amateur owned telescope in the state of Wisconsin. This 30" telescope, located east of Green Bay was originally owned and operated by founding club member Ron Parmentier.
