What is planetary  Conjunction?  A planetary position in which the Earth, the Sun, and the planet are aligned in that order and in a straight line.

  • Planet is lost in the sun's brillance and not viewable
  • Farthest approach to the Earth

What is planetary  Opposition? A planetary position in which the Sun, the Earth,  and the planet are aligned in that order and in a straight line

  • Best viewing of the planet
  • Closest approach to the Earth
